Level 1 Fire Ban – Now in Effect!

FIRE BAN

BYLAW NO. 2/2018

A BYLAW RESPECTING FIRE RESTRICTIONS

WHEREAS

1. In the opinion of the Rural Municipality of Lomond No. 37, a fire hazard condition exists within the municipality;

THEREFORE, the Council of the Rural Municipality of Lomond No. 37 does hereby order, pursuant to section 2 of Bylaw No. 2/2018 that a Level 1 Fire Ban is in effect:

Open burning in the Rural Municipality of Lomond No. 37 is banned.

Exemptions to a Level 1 Fire Ban are (with a plan to extinguish):

– Supervised Incinerators;

– Supervised burning barrel with screen;

– Solid Fuel Barbecues/Recreational Camp Fires;

– Liquid Fuel Barbecues (propane/natural gas)

– Camp Stoves.

This fire ban includes and does apply to all lands located within the Rural Municipality of Lomond No. 37.

This order takes effect Thursday, September 22^nd, 2020

This order shall be reviewed by 10:00 am, October 8^th, 2020 and may be extended or lifted.
